Improve The Century Building Security
We the residents of The Century Building are demanding that security protocols be reviewed and stricter visitation screenings be implemented immediately.
With a School, Health Club and many professional offices within the building, there is a constant influx of non residents who have access to all of the resident floors. This is the case during weekday business hours as well as evenings and weekends.
There is NO screening of visitors at either the front entrance or service entrance at any time. Some of the resident population is highly vulnerable given their age, familiar status and medical conditions. Living in a luxury doorman building should provide some assurance that safety and security are being taken seriously by building management. This has NOT been the case for many years.
The new Lobby design should give better visibility to the on duty staff to control entry to the building. While the intercom system has been completely non functioning for years, there is a resident directory available to staff to call the apartments to announce visitors.
We are demanding that this be rectified immediately and failure to do so after being notified, Hampton Management and the Olnick Organization will be held responsible for any adverse occurance to any resident or their guests.
