Emphasis on "serve the students". Last I checked, most students of the university did not dorm. And yet, 2 of the three commuter shuttles are gone, the one that remains doesn't adhere to any schedule, and people who need to go to the Manhattan campus are left high and dry. (And by the way, the new Manhattan campus is not more connected than the old one by any stretch of the imagination.)

We pay a ridiculous amount of money to attend this school and the gimped shuttle service is an insult. Add more buses and reinstate the previous routes!

I would like to be able to take advantage of this service the university provides me with. However it is inefficient at present and therefore I have not been able to use it to get to and from my internship. It is in the university's best interest to improve it for this reason, as there are many like me who represent the school but need to be able to show up ON TIME to these internships.

I reside at henley and I miss the bus or have to walk to campus a majority of the time when these buses are supposed to come at the time advertised. We all pay for these busses to be functional and I think that they should be

I am a commuter to SJU from Long Island and I personally rely on the shuttle Bus service to get to and from campus for free because I already pay $200 a month for the Long Island Rail Road. Already relying on an unreliable service like the LIRR is one thing, but needing to pay out of pocket when the bus is late or has left already is awful. There are certain times where my schedule of train and schedule of bus simply doesn't line up, either leaving me stranded in Jamaica for over an hour or pay the MTA to go to campus, an increasing price that would add another $100 to my monthly price to go to St. John's on top of tuition. Adding a more frequent shuttle bus service would not only benefit me personally, but others in my situation. St. John's is very much a commuter school, many of whom rely on the scholarships and financial aid that allowed them to come here. When external cost starts to become a problem, students may look elsewhere to solve it.

im always standing waiting for a bus that never comes and end up late to school. It takes me about 20 minutes to walk to campus but my backpack is too heavy for me to walk that far without my legs giving out. Therefore I end up spending my money and taking public transportation. Fix the shuttle bus schedule before the winter PLEASE, I do not want to struggle and/or miss/be late to my classes because your shuttle service doesn't work.

I'm agreed that shuttle should also provide services to the Manhattan campus. It takes almost 30-40 mins ( if you are lucky ) to get into Manhattan ( not Manhattan campus). After when you arrive to the Manhattan you should take another subway/bus and it takes another 10-15 mins ( if you are lucky ).
