We, the undersigned, know that the safety of our children on their way too and from school is paramount.

We were promised a 'safe walking route' to the school for our children, but one of the road crossings in no longer even painted with white lines to indicate is is a crossing.

Now that the railways bridge is open cars are already speeding across the bridge and past the school. For the safety of our children, the speed limit past the school needs to be 20mph. Other schools have it 20mph limits, our school needs it too.

There should be 20mph markings on the roads and flashing road signs by the road to indicate the limit.

The pavement needs railings to act as a line of defence between our children and the traffic.

All of this has been asked for several times but still has not been delivered. We want David Wilson Homes and Wokingham Borough Council to get it sorted before one of our children is injured, or worse.

My Son has recently started attending the school and I've already seen a few near misses in just a couple of weeks so something urgently needs to be done to prevent any harm to those who are travelling to the school

Both my children were hit by a car in Rances Lane on their way back from St Crispins, I believe that William Heelas Way has the potential to be even more dangerous due to potential spending and catering for younger children, proper crossing in front of the school is paramount to ensure safety.

WBC need to launch an urgent review into road safety before a child gets hurt. Just this morning I witnessed a car speeding over the bridge before slamming on their brakes as they saw the crossing and children ready to cross.

For these type of housing developments and the increase of cars childrens safety should be paramount and their is continual evidence proving 20mph speed restrictions near schools makes a huge difference.

Please help to keep our community safe! Coming from Bracknell, the school is I re the crest of a hill and can’t be seen until drivers are right there. It’s a wide road and roads leading up by the roundabout are faster so some measures are needed to limit the risks.

How can a main road be opened next to a school without signs, speed restrictions or a painted zebra crossing! There aren’t even any barriers outside the school on the pavement to keep the children safe!

No excuses for not having road safety signs outside a school.
