* The National Education Association (NEA) says, "Fact: All children benefit from high-quality full-day kindergarten programs."
* The Illinois State Board of Education states that 76% of Illinois kindergarteners attend full-day programs and 90% of Illinois elementary schools offer full-day kindergarten; specifically our neighboring districts of Bensenville District 2, Rhodes District 84.5, River Grove District 85.5 and Franklin Park District 84.
* The students of district 83 deserve equal access to full-day kindergarten.
My son is struggling with the half day schedule and needs more time to catch up. Other districts have had this for years and its time we caught up!
