Implement changes to Highway 37/ Wiser Road intersection

On December 20th, 2011, three lives were lost, in a horrific car accident at the intersection of Highway 37 and Wiser Road in Corbyville, Ontario. I, as a resident of the adjoining Joy Court, feel that prompt changes need to to happen, specifically, appropriate signage, road markings and possibly a blinking amber light, as ways to proactively alert and prevent future tragedies from occurring on this dangerous section of Highway 37. Those responsible need to take into account that many travellers of this highway are truckers, cottage go-ers, etc., and are unaware of the rather unusual layout of this stretch of highway. In my opinion, signs which cue through traffic to stay to the right, as well as turning arrows, in a specified turning lane, at the very least, would help promote safer driving and alert drivers. In addition to this tragic accident, there have been several other minor accidents and close calls. How many more needless accidents and loses of life must there be before changes are made — and is there a point where risk outweighs the cost?
