We call on the Obama administration to pick up the torch of FDR's unfinished 2nd Bill of Rights resolution to economically strengthen families. By enacting legislature tailored on the premise of FDR's eight rights our government has the opportunity to not only increase physical security for its citizens but economic security as well. On January 11th, 1944 during his State of the Union address, President Roosevelt proposed "A Second Bill of Rights." Primarily economic in focus, his eight new rights sought to establish an American standard of living higher than ever before known.
