On September 30, 2011, it was reported that the Al-Qeada leader Anwar Al-Awlaki was killed by a U.S. drone attack in Yemen. Anwar Al-Awlaki, while a leader of Al-Qeada, is also a U.S. citizen. U.S. citizens are protected by the U.S. Constitution in the following ways: due process before being deprived of life, liberty or property (5TH Amendment), a trial by jury (Article III, Section 1, 6TH Amendment), and acts treason must be proved by two witnesses to the same overt act or upon confession in open court (Article III, Section 3). None of these rights were respected or honored by our President to Anwar Al-Awlaki before he order his death by Predator drone attack. The act of President Obama to order the death, murder or assassination of a U.S. citizen is a gross violation of the rule of law, the U.S. Constitution, and the U.S. Code of Justice. He must be held accountable for his actions and the only viable option is that of impeachment and the prosecution to the furthest extent of the law. Please sign this petition if you believe the decision by President Obama to order the death of an American citizen, Anwar Al-Awlaki, who was denied his constitutional rights is a "high crime or misdemeanor" that is impeachable under Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. Thank you!
