We the people of South Carolina, support the forced expulsion of Governor Mark Sanford from our state's highest office. Governor Sanford has brought embarrassment to our state with his personal affairs. But more importantly, he left the country, with no clear instruction or notice to his staff, for a week to carry on this illicit activity. Governor Sanford also felt the need to reimburse our state with a $3000 personal check, immediately after his affair was made public. These actions are improper, are of questionable legality, and deserve punitive action. Please sign this petition so we may make Governor Sanford responsible for his totally inappropriate behavior.
