She actively fights students right to protest if it goes against her ideologies. She has further tarnished, perhaps irreparably, the image of UTSU and should NOT be taking tens of thousands of students dollars when she does not represent all students.

UTSU executive members are paid by and work for the students of U of T. It is extremely inappropriate and disappointing that one of these UTSU representatives was actively participating in the censorship of an event that was promoting open discussion and expression for marginalized voices. UTSU members should be actively encouraging and helping out with events such as these, which are essential to creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment for all students. UTSU members work for us, the students, and should be representing the diverse populations of the school, not abusing their positions to spread hateful ideology while hijacking and shutting down campus events. The conduct of Cassandra Williams, as observed by me and many other event participators, was absolutely unacceptable. This inexcusable behaviour contributes to a tarnished image of the UTSU and calls for the immediate impeachment of Cassandra Williams.

If you as an executive member disagreed with the reason we had all gathered you had more than enough opportunities to take centre stage and voice your dissent rather than actively subvert the voices of those gathered. You decided to suppress these voices even those whom agreed with you.

I have 4 family members attending UofT and my aunt was an alumni. Anyone who is paid by a student body to represent the student body shouldn't blast white noise over speakers during a peaceful protest. Have the stones to listen to what they, the people that pay your salary have to say. Let someone who will listen to the voice of faculty the community and student body be in charge.

UTSU should be a place for students to voice their opinions, and Cassandra Williams is facilitating just the opposite of that. Instead, UTSU is being hijacked by professional protesters with questionable agendas. This is all ridiculous, childish, and the BLC is just as racist as the KKK. Signed, an Asian whom Yusra Khogali told to check his privilege. I spent 18 years growing up around ignorant white kids who couldn't tell the difference between a 'chink' and a 'paki'. Don't tell me that I don't understand racism.

Unacceptable behavior and blatant disruption of what was meant to be a peaceful rally. It's really a shame a person representing the UTSU had to do this.

White noise was used like an acoustic weapon and caused hearing damage. It was that loud.
