As a student attending Piedmont Hills High, not too far from Independence, it has come apparent the rising concerns of essentially sharing the school from not only students but parents and staff members.

It appears that the school district isn't prioritizing the public school students as they are supposed to be doing under proposition 39. I think the district needs to be sued immediately as Charter schools are only supposed to be renting facilities not in use for the public school students.

If students of the other charters can't respect the property, they need to be isolated to their own area. Especially, having their own own bathrooms, it's disgusting to even step one foot in there.

Independence High School's campus should only be for Independence High School students. Even though we have a big campus, we also have a large number of students. Having to share our campus with the charter schools will crowd our campus more than it already is.

I feel this is a disservice to the Independence students who attending expecting to get a great education but when you bring two charter schools in the effect is huge on everyone.

These Charter Schools are taking away our practice time. Us Basketball teams have to share half a court to practice. It isn't fair. It's our gym, not theirs. Because of them, we start practice at 7PM-9PM. I got homework. So yea. No thanks.

As an alumni of Independence High School, I know the situation can be changed. Charter schools must move or be controlled for the safety of all students attending. Each student should feel safe at school.

Being a student of James Logan High, with 4000+ Students as well, even we don't have problems as in regards to safety and security, inadequate parking, and meal time conflicts (that's what you guys call lunch?) but if we do it's only a small, minor problem... And to see that this conflict is happening in a school that's also significantly large as well despite being only 1 and a half school years of sharing the campus, that should really be a wake up call that means all the school's staff, the district in which the schools are in, and yes the police too, should do a board meeting to address ALL issues that are affecting the students and staff of ALL these schools.
