I'm on the basketball team and were reduced to less and certain hours for practice and this is a group of guys who throw there lives and hearts out for his sport and we deserve to be recongnized and respected

The arguments in the town meeting were emotional... Which is not bad, but can be better. We need to talk numbers. For example, the charter schools are only 1/6 of IHS. So why is it that they don't only take 1/6 of practice time for the gym and fields? Why is it that the CHARTER schools don't go to another gym but we, independence sixers, must leave our own campus to go to another location? This is OUR home. We just want our home back.

They basketball teams can't use OUR small gym because OTHER SCHOOLS are using it.

Obviously the charter schools have caused serious damage , so the solution is to prevent them from taking over our school.

A great high is systematically being torn apart by the charters. The ESUHSD administration needs to rethink its policy toward placing charters on existing campuses. Nothing good comes from this, only political gain, not educational gain.

I am an athlete and I often come home late due to conflicting practice times. I take very challenging courses at school and arriving home late also hurts my performance in my classes.
