We demand that President Obama asserts federal authority with regards to issues of immigration and that the passage of a Comprehensive Immigration Reform becomes a priority for Congress. Until this happens, all police-ICE partnerships should be suspended, and there should be a moratorium on deportations.
Seeing this response swell reminds me of the families separated by these policies who are waiting for a real change. This momentum proves that people are finally refusing to stay quiet about the injustice of these deportations. The urgency we feel together is exactly what will force this issue onto the permanent agenda.

Long overdue. Congress just keeps kicking the can down the road while peoples lives are hanging in the balance.

FIX THE SYSTEM ALREADY. People are waiting years to do it the right way and nothing happens. Get moving on this.

common sense reform is what we need. stop wasting money on these partnerships and fix the actual laws instead.
