We, the residents of Effingham, NH demand that the Board of Selectman open town hall IMMEDIATELY for business in person, for the residents of the town.

With other town halls in the neighboring towns open, along with the knowledge that most employees in town hall are protected both by masks and barriers, there is no reason to continue to keep the doors closed.

Many residents have found it more than difficult to conduct required business, such as car registrations, with the current "no entry" policy in place.

We feel that if the residents are safe going grocery shopping and doing other errands, using a mask if needed, then it is past time for the Board of Selectmen to do business with the people they are supposed to be representing.

The governor's mandates have set out rules for safe, in person transactions. The town hall and Board of Selectman are free to use these guidelines (including the exceptions list for mask requirements), to open the doors.
