Subject: Immediate Repair and Reconstruction of the Sambhajinagar–Pune Highway

Respected Sir,

We, the citizens of Maharashtra, are deeply concerned about the extremely poor condition of the Sambhajinagar–Pune road, which has now become almost unfit for travel. The highway is full of potholes, uneven surfaces, and damaged stretches, causing severe inconvenience and risk to thousands of commuters every single day.

Students, professionals, and transport workers are facing immense challenges due to this condition. A journey that earlier took around 5 hours now takes 8 to 10 hours, leading to excessive fuel consumption, time loss, and vehicle damage. Many travellers are also reporting health issues and minor accidents because of the bad road condition.

Despite repeated complaints and public concern, there has been no effective action or visible improvement in this critical highway that connects two major cities of our state.
We, therefore, humbly request your immediate intervention to:
Order urgent repair and resurfacing work on the entire Sambhajinagar–Pune stretch.
Ensure quality road construction and proper drainage to prevent further deterioration.

Implement regular maintenance, signage, and safety measures for public convenience.
This road is the lifeline for education, employment, healthcare, and business connectivity between Marathwada and Western Maharashtra. We urge the government to prioritize this matter in the public interest.

Your timely action will bring huge relief to lakhs of daily travellers and restore confidence in the efficiency of our state’s infrastructure development.
