Immediate Relief for Cedarvale and Upper Village: SIGN; NO DONATIONS PLEASE

If we ran our businesses the way the city has crippled this neighborhood for so long is irresponsible and unacceptable.

All the traffic represent excess and dangerous pollution. So many children at the four schools in the area: Cedarvale Community School, West Preparatory Junior Public School, Leo Baeck Day School and J.R. Wilcox Community School, are breathing in the air. And it’s during peak traffic congestion time that the students, mostly young children with younger siblings in strollers are in that traffic environment being dropped off and picked up. For mercy sakes, make the traffic stop harming our children!!! Shame on our councillors, school trustees and other paid politicians who ignore the health problems of prolonged exposure to that dangerous, likely carcinogenic air. How horrible that in a time that our country is fighting to maintain a healthy, natural world and strong lobbying for conservation of good air that Cedarvale is ignored or worse that no one cares enough about our children experiencing this terrible condition.

Ridiculous amount of traffic going thru the neighborhood. No one obeys stop signs. God forbid you have to get anywhere between 3 and 7 pm. Exacerbated by the Metrolinx staff shift change around 3, plus they take up every available parking space along the Eglinton corridor. Adding bike lanes before the construction is finished is clearly a disaster in the making.

Something needs to be done

Feeder streets have become extremely congested. Unable to get into our own driveway.

Traffic has been unbearably bad in this neighbourhood for years now, yet over the past couple of weeks it has actually become worse. Incredible.

I work in this area and it is a daily source of stress and anxiety.

The roads have become so dangerous for our elders and children. this needs to stop

It should not take 30min to drive two blocks to get home! There are many aggressive, dangerous and inconsiderate drivers who seem to have taken over our neighbourhood. This is only getting worse and nothing is being done.

Just came back from walking my dog tonight. 7:15pm, the northbound streets were backed up to Dewbourne.

This is ridiculous ! Its been years of traffic backups.

Increasing public transit is essential to the well being of our fast growing city. But this will fail unless future initiatives learn from the poor management and community engagement demonstrated in the Eglinton LRT project
