Urgent Petition for Immediate Peace Between Thailand and Cambodia

To the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia:

We, the undersigned Americans and Khmer Americans living in Cambodia, urgently call upon the United States Government to take additional decisive action against the escalating conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. We are very grateful to President Trump, the U.S. Government for their efforts to date which resulted in a ceasefire, now broken, The current situation demands immediate attention to prevent further loss of innocent lives and to restore peace between Cambodians and Thai.

Every day that this war continues, countless civilians suffer—families are torn apart, homes are destroyed, and futures are shattered. More critically, the ongoing violence threatens the very heart of our cultural heritage, with ancient temples and sanctuaries being lost to destruction. These sites are not just buildings; they are the stories of our past, the pride of our people, and an integral part of human history.

This cycle of violence must end now.

We implore the United States government to leverage its influence and intervening power to facilitate an immediate ceasefire and initiate urgent dialogue between the conflicting parties. As a nation built on principles of justice and peace, the U.S. has a moral responsibility to stand up for those who cannot defend themselves and to advocate for humanity.

Let us not wait for more bloodshed. We call for a united effort to restore harmony and dignity for all people affected by this tragedy.
