given the absence of professionalism at the Leeds congress, I believe each presenter -- and especially session chairs and people in charge of introductions -- should undergo diversity training and sign a commitment to observe professional standards, and there should also be a firm statement that non-professional behavior will not be tolerated, will be investigated, and offenders will be officially admonished by congress organizers and their home institutions copied on this formal process.
