Its people like him who deserve our respect. Its because of him and others like him that we have our freedom.

As an Ex 3RAR Digger I am disgusted at the way this man is being treated. Someone who is serving their country and putting in extra effort to train in their own time should be treated with respect

Charge him with what? He had no weapon... FFS how do these people train if they can not emulate the weapon size and weight to train with... Good luck Nicholas.

Is this country even Australia anymore..? As a former soldier I feel like I fought for what Australia used to be, not what it is today.

what has the army done to help its own ? nothing, this is a sad day in Australia when we try to punish someone who was using there own time to train in order to keep us all safer, this is disgusting

This is an outrage. We should not only have the ability to carry fake firearms in public, but real firearms for protection.

How absolutely ridiculous, I used to do this in the 80's without anyone getting paniced

This is a knee jerk reaction to something that has been going on for a long time. The guy is training to be the best of the best, to join our elite forces who are renowned around the world. We should support him instead of taking punitive action
