so its ok for a foreigner to burn our flag and preach hate through out our country and this man in uniform is a criminal .. this is why we will all band together as a huge swarm of bees on day and smash the very core of the pathetic justice system down and start again . bloody disgrace ...............

If society is so fragile that a soldier wearing uniform and carying some steel bar results in a massive police search, then society has failed, terrorism wins. And a big F U to the judge for not throwing the case out. You, your honour, are pathetic.

This was a slight error in judgement by a man who is an Australian soldier , not a criminal.

He is not a criminal he is a digger training hard to protect our backs, now we all need to have his back. This is absolutely pathetic that it was taken to court.

Punishing this man for training to be a highly skilled soldier is sending a bad message to soldiers everywhere. Yes the public panicked because of terrorists fears but that is who he was training to protect us from, such threats as those he was sadly mistaken as. If he is punished the terrorists win again & our soldiers loose on our own soil. We need more determind strong young heros wanting to be at peek physical fitness not an army in fear of the public seeing them train. I stand behind those who sign up to give so much knowing it may be their life they give & hope the system doesnt fail this young man.
