it is disgusting to see this man persecuted in this manner!!!! Trying to improve himself , and as usual higher command leaves him hanging. CDF should be going to bat for this individual , or is it worried about putting a black mark on his position. About time some of these higher commanders grew some balls and get seen to be looking after their own.

I think it is a totally ridiculous situation we have here! The only focus that needs to be is a common sense, very strict, totally enforced, approach toward the actioning of any attack/assault to person or property with a firearm! We have a totally fearful population with no or very confused, attitude toward firearms! We were living in a much safer society when high school kids took their rifles on the bus to cadets!

He may have scard some ,doing his training and prob good it was reported , but then seeing what the circumstances were , it should be all good, no charges laid whatsoever and that's it , end of subject . Let's get on and deal with the real problems and change this Qld law system

Since when should a soldier who has taken it upon himself to do some extra training in his own time be punished... We should be patting this man on the back, not locking him up

Poor bastard was training to better protect our country . Police need to show some intelligence in the matter. But then again Police intelligence is becoming an oxymoron. What a crock.

These man train to protect the public ... He was doing nothing more then staying on top for us !!!! Maybe if the councils weren't so greedy there would be more green space to carry out training ... The police should have shook his hand & thanked him for his dedication once they realised the complaint was misinterpreted ... Instead of causing a national disgrace with the ill treatment of a serviceman ... Maybe ours laws should be more defined so there is no misunderstanding in the future ...

This is a disgrace, Australia has turned into an unpatriotic vessel that turning its back on everything that has made us the country we are today, all to cater for minorities that hold no allegiance for the country that they live in.

This soldier did nothing wrong, except trying to better his fitness... If there was panic in the area he was training....it was unintentional on his half, and, he would have been unaware of it.
