This is stupid that he's getting charged. The world is coming to such a weak state.

As an ex soldier who once went everywhere in uniform I am disgusted with the way the politicians have rolled over to these minority groups and now it's not safe to wear the uniform in public without fear of arrest or assault.

Hopefully common sense will prevail. Young Soldier make a silly mistake, he should not pay for it by forfeiting his career and his path to Special Forces.

Disgusting attitude of our police. They should have let him go without charges when they realised what he was doing. If they can't tell the difference between an adf training and a terrorist our funds for "their" training has been wasted.

As a soldier in the eighties I did the same thing. The frame carried is a training aid, nothing more. We can't prosecute our soldiers for becoming fitter in their own time.

It should never have gotten this far, sure the police have a duty to investigate reports of a gunman, but when they come across someone who is obviously not a gunman, surely common sense comes into the equation? And for the media to try shamelessly scaremonger the public is a complete joke. No wonder traditional media is dying. They are like a pack of rabid dogs that need to be leashed.

From somebody who trained in uniform outside of hours with a replica weapon for weight and size reality for the same reasons as this dedicated soldier, I find the actions of not only our fine police force but the stupidity of our courts appalling..
