I can't believe how thick people are. How they panic just because of happenings overseas. The magistrate needs to be removed from her position, her comments show a gross lack of common sense at the least, just a plain bigot.

We need more support for public awareness for our defence members.

It's a shame when a soldier can't even be recognized in his own country and gets arrested for trying to be stronger to protect his country, and it's a damn shame when the Media is full of wacko journalists who can't tell the difference between a gun and a piece of welded metal that vaguely resembles a rifle. #I'lltrainwithyou

This is a joke! Fair enough the police were called and responded, but to drag a serving member of our defence force through the courts for something as trivial as this is UN-AUSTRALIAN!!! This dedicated soldier is keeping himself in peak physical condition and trying to better serve his country only to be shunned by it. Weak excuses of current security climates are nothing but belligerent ramblings of people who know no better than to complain. If anything the current security climate around the world suggests to me that we need our entire defence force out there doing this exact same thing... Proudly wearing their uniforms, making a presence, keeping themselves in peak physical condition. Who are you going to call when our defenders step away from the role due to fear of persecution or lack of support and real trouble comes knocking?
