This is a waste of tax payers money. The Australian media need to answer for the fear mothering they cause without the facts.

Training for special forces selection will now probably end in a criminal record all because of hyper vigilant misinformed mindless people. They should have been rushing up to him to shake his hand instead of remushing to the phone to dial 000.

Very sad day when a member of the ADF going about his normal life (training to be the best he can be) is not recognised as such by the Australian community.

This is ridiculous, how was it not absolutely obvious to everyone that he was just on a training run? Give the guy a break, don't destroy his life because of other people's stupid mistakes.
