No crime has been committed. The item he was using is not considered as a weapon under the weapons Act 1990 by defenition of a firearm or a weapon
From def of firearm:
A replica of a gun capable of causing death or injury by discharging a projectile is a firearm. However, a replica of a gun not capable of causing death or injury by discharging a projectile is not a firearm.
No charge to answer! How can there be?!

A despicable action by the Qld Police to continue this charge and a highlight of how the ADF hierarchy is to busy appeasing special groups to look after one of its own. Gutless on all fronts.

Im a reservist soldier and the entire ordeal has been blown well out of proportion.
A soldier should be able to do his own training in his own time with a mock weapon to make the training as close to real as possible.
If he is charged or convicted that is treason against the nation and all its soldiers.

As a Reservist, I need to train in my own time. I am lucky to live in a regional area where I can go for a pack march, with a training aid without "disturbing the public"

He should be congratulated for keeping up his training and fitness in his own time not punished.
