I met Charlie, Jame’s father, many years ago when sailing together he was and still is an honest and reliable man. At present his role in life is to be an honest and reliable best Dad to Jame.

A heartbreaking story. Surely Jame's wishes to remain with his father should be respected.

Despite his age, James should be allowed to choose where and with whom he resides. If only that could also apply to the other children too.

I only hope the authorities will take the necessary actions to ensure James' health, happiness and security. I also hope that the wellbeing of James' siblings will be ensured.

i am not seeing any unwillingness from James for living here in Dubai with his daddy. vice versa, i am seeing him getting happier each day for living here. i just simply can not believe it is really happening for what i have seen so far for the whole things been putting on to them from day one till today, including the unfair legal process for the custody for James and his brother/sister.

This is so sad. It would be so wrong to take James away from his father where he is happy and where James wishes to live

I find it heart breaking abusive women with serious mental health issues aren't helped sooner, or identified. Jamie and his dad are happy together Jamie is safe from physical and emotional abuse, I'm so happy one of the three children is in a stable environment, as witnessed by friends, family, doctors and the school Jamie is attending in Dubai. I would love to see all of the children reunited with their father to enjoy the same support he is providing to Jamie. I hope the true scenario leading up to the split in this family is recognised by authorities. Men can be abused in relationships as well as women but they stay quieter about it. My family wish you the best of luck staying together. Joy Richardson.

I have seen james many times and have never seen him happier and more full of life than he is now! The year his mother took him and his brother and sister away from the family home with her back to France I only saw him once when he visited his dad for the holidays but even then he expressed unhappiness about returning to his mum. Honestly, i think this is quite a special case where the root of the problem definitely is not with the dad! Good luck to Jamie and his dad and I hope the mother can see some sense and let the family be reunited again safely to see each other regularly, instead of this vengeaful bullying campaign against Jamie’s dad. Courage!

I saw james and his dad last week. James had just come back from tennis lesson and was full of life! I had the opportunity to chat for a couple of hours with his dad. The thing that I find truly shocking in this case is that a european judge put the father on a wanted persons list so the father cannot see his other children and they are not even allowed to return to the UK! This also meant the lawyer representing the father was not allowed into the court and the father was not able to present any of his evidence. as a lawyer myself (corporate law), I find this level of miscarriage of justice quite staggering in a european country!
