Sparked by discussions over whether Elizabeth May should be allowed in the Leaders' Debate, Michael Ignatieff and Stephen Harper began musing about a one-on-one debate. The media consortium that traditionally hosts a debate every election has indicated that it will not (at this time) host a 1:1 debate. Sign the petition below if you would like to see the debate and agree with this statement: "I would like to see a nationally televised, one-on-one debate between the two front-running party leaders in this Canadian Federal Election. The debate would have an English session and a French session, each at least one-hour long. The debate would feature questions nominated from submissions from the Canadian Public and selected based on public voting. The debate would take place at least two days prior to the as-scheduled Leaders' Debate."
