The only thing I agree with is that the name should be changed. Also, the fact you said Cesar Chavez has no relation to San Antonio is quite concerning. He spent most of his activism years in San Antonio and considering that REL is 85% Hispanic makes the naming a school after him even more appropriate. Also George W Lee was brought up as a replacer so that the name change transition would be easier. It would still be Lee High School. Another thing, half of the Neisd schools are named after people who don't have direct ties to San Antonio so that argument is invalid. Despite Lee's accomplishments, he fought on the wrong side, and we should not be celebrating him for it. Plain and simple.

Doesn't matter it's ok but just keep the name the same that's the school I want my kids to go there because I'm class of 03

I am a graduate of Robert E. Lee class of 2011. I believe this is an amazing idea and fully support it!

If we can't keep the name Robert E. Lee, then what better name can we choose but Gregg Popovich High?? Fabulous idea!!!

I was the first in my family to graduate from high school from Lee and I have my oldest daughter going there and my nephew soon my other three daughters will follow in her footsteps....Robert E. LEE... class of 98
