Go spurs go! This guy has done so much for our city and put us on the map.

As a long time resident, a former student of NEISD I think this is one of the best ideas I have heard in a long time.

Pop is respected throughout the city of San Antonio and the country. This would be a great choice!

I agree fully with this, coming from a Lakers fan, Pop is arguably the greatest coach of all time. His work ethic should be admired and honored.

San Antonio is a basketball city and Coach Pop has given us five rings and we haven't missed the playoffs for 20 years. He is more than deserving to having a school in San Antonio named after him

Not only has Gregg Popovich turned the Spurs organization into one of the best run sports franchises in the world (and no exaggeration), he holds the record for most consecutive winning seasons in NBA History (that's 70 years folks) is a Three Time Coach of the Year, is one of only five coaches in NBA History to win five or more championships and one of only nine coaches in NBA History to win 1000 games...Oh and in in case you forgot, he is also a graduate of the Air Force Academy, winner of the Academies Distinguished Graduate Award and Air Force Veteran. On top of all that, he is a Bronze Medal winner as part of the 2004 Olympic Team and is slated to represent the United States in the upcoming Olympics as the Head Coach of the U.S. National team. A man worthy of carrying a name on a school in San Antonio...I do believe that qualifies
