Across the country, physical therapists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners and other professionals are being certified to administer acupuncture under the pseudonym, “Dry Needling.” With as little as 27 hours of clinical training, these practitioners are wielding acupuncture needles and administering aggressive needling into acupuncture and ashii points! This is incredibly concerning due to the high risk of serious harm to our fellow patients, friends and community members. The Idaho Acupuncture Association is taking a stand; we are NOT ok with this and we will do what we can to prevent this from happening in our state.
