On Monday Feb 27, 2017, the Humphreys County School District called a special board meeting. In this meeting the decision not to renew the contract of Mrs. Benson (Ida Greene Elem. principal) was presented. This petition was create in effort to that the school board will reconsider their decision and to use if need be to contact the State Department of Education on this matter. Mrs. Benson is a caring young lady who always go over and beyond her duties to ensure that Ida Greene Elem is a safe and productive place for learning. Mrs. Benson started her career at HCSD as a teacher, however her love for the students and the community motivated her to become principal.
