of course we heard at least two brothers asking the questions and one sister sent a paper that was ignored but there was no substance in the boards answer. The Imam was not agreeing to replacing the carpet, WA Allah Alam

I do not know enough to comment but it is common sense if something is not broken do not fix it. Fix what is broken Jazakum Allah

Last time in the General Body meeting we were told that the full money for the carpet of the big masjid was given by a brother alone. Even if this is true, it does not make any sense to go for a new carpet provided that we are looking forward to re-construct the masjid very soon InshaAllah. May Allah give all of us Hidayah

Some of the board members when confronted about the budget get very defensive and act very shady . There needs to be transparency about where our donations go , having this mosque is as important if not more than , as having a house . Something needs to be done ASAP

Has the Imam/Board been talked to? Has this been discussed privately before being brought public? I definitely agree, this is a waste, but there are better ways to settle an issue.

Since we are constructing new masjid in Bainbridge and I think It is a waste of community money installing carpet in big masjid since the carpet was in good condition and we can not reuse the new carpet in new masjid.
