Students are facing hardship every day. We are legislated to live below the poverty line, the majority of us work over the recommended maximum number of hours a week just to make ends meet and we study in a country with the worst widening access record in the UK. Hardship funds across the country have dried up so that students are forced to either take on unmanageable levels of commercial debt or simply drop out. We ask that 'Inverness College UHI' publically supports our call for a fairer funding system that delivers more cash in students pockets while we are studying.
