We the undersigned fully support the creation of a fairy- and folktale focused division for the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts. Fairy- and folktale focused papers are regularly presented at the conference in multiple divisions, and a division dedicated to them would allow for more streamlined scheduling of the papers with fewer conflicts, encourage more submissions on the fairy/folktale in fantasy, and provide an annual gathering place for fairy-tale scholars that would benefit the presenters and the conference alike. We are interested in attending a fairy- and folktale focused division should such a division be created.
