I, the undersigned, believe that placing ICES-V in Europe would strengthen the already growing theoretical research, methodological development and application improvement within business and economic statistics in Europe, and benefit European official statistics and decision making. Thus far, the ICES has been held in the US and Canada. To enhance the European involvement with the ICES and the developments within business and economic statistics in general, a European venue is necessary. Therefore, I urge the ICES Continuation Committee to choose a European venue for ICES-V.
