Through this petition we want to ask IEL Program Board to include the ICC Moot Court competition in our program curriculum. This will be an alternative to Year 3 Arbitration Project.
Having the ICC Moot Court as part of our curriculum, essentially expanding the choices of Moot Courts would be beneficial to:
- Students with General or ICL and IHL specialization;
- Students that want to take part in a Moot Court competitions and to expand their knowledge and experience;
Participation in this Moot will provide participants with valuable experience which will be a huge asset for their future career as legal professionals and a chance to represent our university in a very prestigious competition.
It should be noted that, specializations besides International Criminal Law (ICL) and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) have their respective moot court competitions in which they can take part.
By signing this petition, you are not only helping to address this clear inequity, but also are expressing your willingness and desire to have more options with regards to the alternative projects.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the need for more variety in our project options and it has been eye-opening to see how widely felt this frustration really is. The board is finally aware that this discussion is happening because you all chose to put your names behind this request. I am just holding the space for a conversation that actually belongs to every single one of you.

YES PLEASE. Arbitration is fine but I have zero interest in it. ICC moot is way more relevant for what I want to do.
The faculty really needs to catch up with other programs. Not fair that we are limited to only one path.
Great idea. The ICC moot would be such a cool experience if we could get credit for it.
For a few years already this ideea was brought forward to the Board of the Law Faculty, but no concrete results. Let's hope that this year we can break the ice!
There are all sorts of moot court competitions that our program takes part in, but none of them is in ICL. I would love to take part in this ICC mootcourt!
I totally agree with adding the icc moot court to our programme!
