That the ICC have a consistent and a transparent policy regarding the coin toss in cricket matches being telecast: (a). The match referee show to the camera the two sides of the coin, identifying either side as Heads or Tails. (b). The voice of the "calling" captain be audibly heard whether Heads or Tails (c). The TV anchor on-the-spot should repeat the call. i.e. "Heads (or Tails) it is" before the coin comes to rest (d). Most importantly, the camera should focus on the coin on the ground to show whether it is heads or tails.

The adherence to these points is critical as currently there is no transparent policy. In some key matches including at least one semi-final of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and recent matches in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, the toss had been thrown yards away by a captain with only the Match Referee seeing which way it has fallen. With the Indian Supreme Court doggedly investigating corruption in the game at the highest levels, it is paramount on the ICC to ensure justice on the toss is not only done but should seem to be done.
