Iain is like no other. He welcomed my son and our family to an already established team. Giving him a home on the rugby pitch! The care i have already seen from Iain is beyond what we have experienced. My sons rugby development and skills are really starting to shine and we have Bubba to thank for this. I have huge concerns that this stand down directive is going to have such a negative impact for not only my own son but for the team in its entirety. Iain is not just a coach, he is a mentor on and off the pitch.

Iain “Bubba” GARDINER is and always has been a Rugby Union Gentleman. A man I have 100% trust in to perform all duties in and around Rugby (and life) with honour, virtue, respect and integrity.

For the past 6 years, Bubba has been an outstanding coach, mentor and role model for our son and so many other kids. We have always trusted and respected him, not only for his knowledge of the game, but for the way he genuinely cares about the safety, wellbeing and development of every child he coaches.
As parents, we expect coaches to step in when situations become unsafe. Everyone has a duty of care to protect children and we firmly believe Bubba acted with the intention of keeping players safe during a highly emotional and dangerous situation.
Bubba has consistently taught our kids respect, discipline, teamwork and how to handle themselves the right way both on and off the field. He has always put the kids first and has earned the loyalty and trust of families over many years of dedicated coaching.
We stand by Bubba completely. We would follow him around the world to have our children coached by him again and will continue to support him because we know the type of person and coach he is someone who protects, guides and genuinely cares for the kids in his team.

Bubba, has been a fantastic coach to my son and has he our support all the way. He has always acted in the best interest of our boys to keep them safe on and off the field.

I have known Iain for many years and coached against his teams and with him in rep programs, he is a pure gentleman and was acting in a duty of care for protecting his teams players from further intimidation and violence from the offending player who was off field with a yellow card and hard run in from Off field throwing punches which is not acceptable in rugby, let alone12/13 year olds.

Fully support Bubba he’s a champion. Bloke needs to be reinstated. This is fundamentally wrong.

Anyone who knows bubba them kids safety are always at the top of his concern his passion for the team is on another level let the man coach
