The board has officially ratified the new contract and approved the wage increases we demanded. Our legal team is currently finalizing the language to ensure immediate implementation for all union staff. I will continue to monitor the payroll adjustments until every member receives their back pay.

For seven years, the six figured CEO of Illinois Action for Children has denied her employees a livable wage increase. We, the unionized rank and file, stand in SOLIDARITY against this injustice and are making a direct appeal to the organization’s board. For the sake and sanctity of WORKER’S RIGHTS in an increasingly unjust world, please assist in ending the hypocrisy and greed by signing this petition!

Please end this ridiculous inequality. My friend has been working on behalf of children in your union for more than a decade and with no pay increase for the last seven years. She shouldn't have to fight for a living wage.
2.5 years without a fair contract is unacceptable. Time to turn up the pressure on that greedy CEO!
Thank you for helping our Illinois Children. Now it's time to stand with the staff and help them provide for their own children. 7 years with our a raise is unconscionable! You must do what is right and just for these hard working individuals.
I think it's time for transparency from the agency leaders. As a former employee, I know all too well the mounds of paperwork that never seemed to stop and the expectations for productivity that continued to increase however the wages continued to stay the same. Pay your workers a fare wage so they can afford to provide for their families, they work their behinds off for it!
Why do managers deserve a raise more than the people that are given the directives of doing the job. Staff has not got a cost of living raise in years how do they provide and protect their families, afford to go to work everyday but still manage to provide the best customer service to the clients/providers which are the most important.

After working there for 9 years i left because of no promotion and yearly raises. The bulk of the company is carried on the backs of the hardest working but least paid employees the Child Care Assistance Program department.
