We don't want them in Ponderosa Hills either. please think about the effect these powerlines will have on property values not to mention several other problems powerlines create.

Please stop Public Service from installing more power ones through our beautiful town lowering property values. Support your citizens, even if it does cost some money to fight this move.

I will vote against anyone that votes in favor of Excel. I think we should post any names that do favor Ecxel in yard signs against them.

Xcel's plan is one-sided and not a benefit for Parker or Rowley Downs. Xcel will make money on the deal and home values will decline next to the new lines. Elected officials need to serve the needs and wishes of the community, regardless of cost.

It was clear from the planning meeting that Parker resident comments didn't matter. Topics that Xcel were talking about were the same thing residents couldn't. I sure hope if the council goes the same way as the planning commission that they are voted out!

I will not support nor vote for any elected Parker, CO official who will not support their constituents with the concerns regarding Xcel adding high transmission power lines in the Parker area.

I understand that power has to pass through communities to get to others, just as our power passes through other communities to get here. However, to allow a corporation (who will make their investment back literally no matter what - no risk involved for a utility company since rates can be changed) to change the quality of life for our residents for generations to come is NOT acceptable. The project should be stopped and only allowed to go through if the lines are buried. Excel doesn't want to invest the money to bury it even though in the end it is consumers who will pay for it. But, don't buy the 'costs to consumers....' rhetoric. The incremental cost to an individual homeowner per year I doubt is significant since it is distributed to so many households / businesses and spread out over many years. I would imagine that they just don't want to use the capital. Plus, I would expect to have to pay a little more for my power so that those upstream of me don't have to suffer ill effects. Please do your jobs Mayor and Council members.

Here are 3 things you must do: 1) Do not fast track this project in any way. It takes a great deal of time to buy a new home and our ability to do so does not need to be hindered with a shorter time line. 2) If the easement is given then the lines must be buried. Cost is not my issue it is Xcel’s! I lose value on my property (if nothing else due to decreased pool of buyers who want to buy near power lines – one set is one set of buyers – 2 sets of wires is even a smaller pool) and Xcel does not care. This project will last over 30 years – the power goes out of our state and benefits no one but users at the end and Xcel. Amortize the cost over 100’s of thousands of people… and the cost is recouped. 3) Demand compensation for people on the easement right of way. When we purchased we knew the lines were there, now after many years they spring a 2nd set on everybody. Property values will be affected (one study shows a decrease of between 20-27%) when a 2nd line is put in. Nor has anybody done nearly enough health study on the effects of 570 volts just a few 100 feet away. WE NEED PROOF – not innuendo that this much power so close to us is not a Health Risk. See you at the meetings… Colin Maclean

This council and Mayor do not have the citizens of Parker in mind if they allow Excel to further trash the community. A non vote from me and one to their opponent to any council member that approves the Xcel plan.

There are alternatives other than having large power lines cut right through the town. Not only do they impact residential neighborhoods but also would have a negative impact on downtown Parker.
