Finally. Like every other preservation group the theater gang has no money to save anything. Reminds me of the Shubert theater downtown occupied only by pigeons after being "saved."

Robbinsdale needs a new grocery store. Hy Vee would be an excellent addition to the area.

After attending the recent REDA hearing and listening to stories of an elderly resident walking all the way to/from Cub Foods for her grocery as well as residents needing to take the #14 bus all the way downtown to just to pick up groceries, I became convinced of the importance of revitalizing the Terrace Mall corner at 36th & France in a way that benefits Robbinsdale's residents who depend on walkability in their daily life. In light of this, I find the nostalgic fetish to save a dilapidated theater building over providing a healthy variety of food opportunities to be a little appalling.

My fiance and I are new residents in Robbinsdale as of November. Though I appreciate the history of the Terrace Theater, it feels like Robbinsdale 'ends' at that lot. A Hy Vee would be a great way to continue the efforts to make Robbinsdale appealing to younger generations looking to start families in the area.

I was born and raised in Robbinsdale. The Terrace was once a beautiful building and so much fun. This building and the rest of the "mall" has been an empty eyesore for years. Doing something with this area will benefit the community.

I am NOT in favor of a new store in THIS location. I understand all of you who did not grow up in this area, going to the terrace - that this is just an old run down building. To us that grew up with building and the memories - it would be really neat to restore it, maybe not as a theater, but certainly many other ideas. I would think you would want Robbinsdale to maintain it's old charm. Several new cities try to copy this old town look. Maybe there is a way to put both ideas into this plan. Is it really that hard to drive a little further down the road to another grocery store. I just don't get the thrill factor in grocery shopping. I really think in a few years you will regret this decision. I'm pretty sure I have an idea why rainbow failed ( at this location)

Hy-Vee all the way. I want a full service grocery store within walking distance to my home. Ever since that Rainbow closed, shopping hasn't been convenient. I try to shop fresh, twice a week. Options are very limited now and need to have a high quality choice in the neighborhood.

Let's get something onto this blighted site that will help the community. It makes no sense to refab a theater that has been empty since 1999. There may be a vocal minority behind this effort, but they don't have the funds to support the idea.

I support bringing Hy-Vee to Robbinsdale because I and thousands of other residents of North Mpls live in a food desert. Convenient access to fresh produce and healthy food is far more important than preserving the rotting ruins of a second run dollar theater that was closed and boarded up last century.
