Orthonet-Anthem, and anything else similar, has to be stopped.

I am strongly against this as it will be an unnecessary process in a patients care for physical therapy and will intrude on their progress.

I strongly oppose this Orthonet/Blue Cross relationship. It negatively affects the timely care patients deserve for the benefits they are already paying so much.

Patients deserve access to the medical services they signed up for and are paying for, let physicians and physical therapists treat patient's as individuals and not be limited by arbitrary reviews. These policies cost our healthcare system more than they benefit it.

Ortho-Net is designed to limit and delay patient care. It thwarts and insults the physical therapist's responsibility to make clinical decisions for patient care. It's a waste of time and a money grab on the backs of patients and providers.

I compeletly disagree with the use of the use of orthonet as a middle man between providers and the insurance companies. I also do not understand how someone who has never seen a patient can determine what is medically necessary in their case.

I am strongly opposed to any relationship between Blue Cross and OrthoNet. It is a relationship designed to limit patient access to medically necessary interventions that they are paying for.

Our issues with OrthoNet are based on the foundation of interference between the needs of our patients and the services provided to them. The validity of their denials is questionable for many reasons.
OrthoNet does not perform a true medical review. By not performing a true medical review, OrthoNet’s assessments of reviews are arbitrary, unreasonable and extremely unpredictable. This reveals their true intentions of denying and restricting services that are medically necessary. Other states provide strong evidence supporting these issues to be true.
Patients are signing up, paying for and expecting access to the medical services they are lead to believe will be provided. If they are not given access to these services, the purpose of healthcare is defeated.
In order to come to a warranted and principled conclusion, all facts must be presented and considered. There should be no urgency to approve this scheme. Delaying the approval of this adverse business relationship will only help patients, not harm them.

I received our letter from Anthem Blue Cross regarding this issue. Since our insurance is provided by an Employer, we have no alternative to switch insurance. Patients have their hands tied on this issue (and I'm darn sure not going to a chiropractor)! I enthusiastically sign this petition against this and managed health care!

From our experience, OrthoNet does not perform a real or accurate review for medical necessity. Instead, they engage in an arbitrary and capricious review with the intent of denying and rationing medically necessary services. Patients deserve access to the medical services they signed-up for and are paying for.
We highly encourage you and your staff not to rush to approve this scheme without full disclosure and presentation of the facts. Patients will be helped and not harmed by delaying the approval of this harmful business relationship.
Thank you for your time and for taking our concerns into consideration.
