I SUPPORT PAID OFFICE HOURS FOR COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS ADJUNCTS!

We already devote a lot of uncompensated time to our teaching and our students...this would really help!

I think if we are forced to have office hours on campus I think we should be paid. If not, then do not force office hours on adjuncts for free. This is time I can spend on other things where I am paid.

My experience shows that office hours ARE 'teaching' hours. They are usually one on one rather than group teaching. We deserve to be paid for this time or we deserve it not to be required!

How come every hour spent by an administrator in the office counts but the time spent by an adjunct in office helping students does not count?

I support STANDALONE, PAID office hours.

I was not aware that there is a distinction among full-time and adjunct faculty in terms of how the office hours are awarded.

Office hours should be paid or no longer required.
