This lawsuit is a complete infringement of the rights to free speech under the Canadian Constitution and begs that a wrongful suit be assigned to the litigants and restitution be made to Mr. Elliot and his family. In addition, Mr. Elliot be allowed, under the provisions of Canadian Law to enter a counter suit for defamation and punative damages. Furthermore, Mr. Elliot file charges of wrongful dismissal and all cost be attributed to, and be part of damages resulting from initial wrongful harassment lawsuit.

No one should have their life turned upside down because they annoyed a despicable human being on social media. What's more, without an objective standard for what constitutes "harassment", you have essentially given people a weapon with which to silence opinions they find disagreeable. This case should never have seen the inside of a courtroom, and it cannot be allowed to become precedence.

An unfounded, emotionally driven accusation has the capacity to ruin lives. We know this. We have seen this many times before. This is what has happened with Mr Elliot.
This isn't just about him though. This case will set a precedent for Canadian law. It may even set a precedent for other seemingly liberal countries.
I'm from the UK. I have seen how this emotionally driven spew can impact the rights and freedoms of citizens.
