Since when is it against the law to disagree with somebody?

This whole thing is an atrocity. I really hope that the full impact of what these people did, someday, comes to haunt them. There is literally no way to make up for all the pain this has caused. Unbelievable.....

Long live freedom of speech and expression. This trial is an example of extremist feminazis who seem to believe that simply disagreeing with them is reason for a 3+ year legal trial in one of the highest courts in Canada.

We must protect our freedoms and to disagree with someone is on of those freedoms.

As a retired lawyer I find this case appalling but not altogether surprising in the Canadian justice system.

Feminists are out of control. The fact that this case is even being considered is ridiculous.

This case is a travesty. You are punishing the wrong person!
Free speech is right! not a privilege.
It's what has kept Western society advanced and civilized.
Stephanie Guthrie, you are a despicable monster. Shame on You!
Bigger shame for Canada's legal system. Pandering to these spoilt authoritarian feminists.

I will happily share this around and donate what I can. Keep up the fight, Mr. Elliott!

Guthrie and people like her are the reasons why we all need to speak up behavior because if we don't, more people will punish just for disagreeing, not accepting an ideology or even asking a question. I truly hope Elliott and his family make it through this madness.

I am more embarrassed that n't country of birth would let this happen than i am that there are people like the "plaintives" living in it.

This whole case is disgusting and the fact that a judge would even consider to entertain it is mind-boggling. I am a woman and do not feel harassed simply because someone disagrees with me. Tyranny, under the guise of feminism, remains tyranny. Ms. Guthrie is obviously an angry person who prefers to accuse others instead of looking at herself and her own behaviour. It is much easier to assume a victim's role than grow up.

recently found this news story via YouTube. Read up more on the story and was horrified over this absurd situation. This man has done nothing wrong and should be free of all charges. Hope all works out well!

After watching a stream by Milo Yiannopoulos I've been made aware of this petition and case and very much aware of its significance for Canadians. While I am a U,S, citizen I worry about the western world and where it is going.
