I condemn violence and harassment against women in any form but I belive in freedom of speech. As Salman Rushdie says supporting freedom of speech means supporting it even when it is unpalatable to you. Because no one is free unless everyone is free.

This case has been a politically motivated assault to freedom of speech and oppression to anyone who comes across as contrary to public agendas for social reform. I am beyond appalled that the so called justice system is being misused in such a callous manner to destroy the rights of individuals to voice their opinions. I'm behind Gregory A Elliot and want to see his name cleared. I will be seriously considering to leave the country and renounce citizenship in order to leave this social and humanist destruction behind.

I have followed this case with great interest from Australia. In my mind this has to be one of the most significant court cases of all time. Free speech and freedom from persecution is on the line here. I sincerely hope the right finding is attained for Mr Elliot and that he can rebuild his life with his family. What has happened to this man is truly appalling.
