We are very supportive of this project. Our kids walk this route everyday to school and it feels unsafe. This would be a big safety improvement for all the kids who use this route daily. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Sidewalks are important. Please put some in around the high school so kids can once again walk to school.

I am all for more safety measures near the school. Wish we could have sidewalks all the way down 9 or at least through all the town areas, but at least get them put in near the schools.

I think a sidewalk to make this area of the highway safer for children (and everyone) is a great idea. A walk/bike path along much of hwy 9 would increase the ability to travel safely for pedestrians and bicyclists and improve the health and wellbeing of the entire community.

Northbound bus stop is unsafe for the children that stand at the edge of the road to wait to board the bus.

It would be even better to extend the sidewalk into Felton!

The route to SLV schools should be made safe for cyclists and pedestrians.

I shared this petition on Facebook and Twitter . If we need 500 signatures it's vital for us all to get the word out to anyone and everyone we know for all the reasons each of you mentioned.
Thanks for creating this petition - it's an incredibly important issue, and it means a lot to me and my family that you took the time to do it!

A step in the right direction. Sick of cars! But it's not safe to ride a bike on highway 9 without, at least, a bike lane. A complete bike lane.

This is a great first step toward a truly safe route for kids to bike and walk to school. Makes so much sense given how many students live within biking and walking distance of the tri-campus. Reduce emissions, reduce traffic, get kids active and outdoors. Walking and biking is a great transition activity before and after school.

A safe corridor connecting communities to the SLV tri campus location seems like a win, win. Less traffic and increased safety for our youth.

I ride my bike and pull my daughter in a trail-a-bike to school each day. Two weeks ago, we had an extremely close call and we're almost hit by a car. Please create a safe path for our neighborhood!!

I support the need to increase safety for the many bikers and walkers attending our tri school campus.

This would be such a is a much needed improvement. With 3+ schools sharing the campus, this would be money well spent.
