Wes Bellamy is an amazing man! I will not judge his character by a few sly remarks made when he was a young man! I will support him for the work he does today to help the community grow! We have all made mistakes and have said things we regret and those things should not come between the good work we do today! May God continue to bless him and his family during this time!

I think the sincerity of his contrition is demonstrated by his reforming his life. As Pastor Hodari said, we all have a past and we all depend on the grace of God. Be strong, Wes, you are not, because of the praise or criticism of people, a different person. Your Lord sees what is in your heart.

I find it interesting that people are so quick to judge and act as if they have never said anything they had to go back and apologize for. Just because he sits on City Council doesn't mean he is any different from any other man. We all make mistakes, we all fall short. Just know I'm praying for you Wes.

Has anyone wondered why someone from the alt-right movement has gone to so much trouble to go through seven years of Wes Bellamy's tweets, cherry picking only a few and putting only the words "black" and "hate" in boldface? There has to be more to this than has been presented. Folks are taking the word a person who is a part of a movement that includes and has been celebrated by both white supremacists and the KKK. Wes Bellamy has done many great things for his community and should be given the opportunity to clear his name.
