Dear City Council Members, as you are all VERY aware this extending of sewer lines in Milton is what we are all against. We have the only unique area in all of Atlanta. This is what our Council folks are there to protect. DO YOUR JOB, do not allow developers to keep building. And most importantly no sewer!!!!!!!

If the city council doesn't listen to their citizens who live here already they should be removed from office immediately and be forced to live in one of these proposed developments and

Milton roads are already overcrowded. Milton has a rural look and that is what makes our city beautiful and unique. We do not want our city to become like every other suburban city.

The City Council needs to listen to the voters. Absolutely no cluster housing in Milton. The large lots are what makes the city unique and special.

Aside from the fact that cluster housing looks terrible and is not what the City of Milton is about, the roads in this area do NOT support such increases in traffic that cluster housing brings!!

We moved to Milton due to the ABSENCE of cluster housing. We loved the horse farms and rural nature of the city, unfortunately this is changing. If these changes continue in Milton, we will be forced to change cities and move. I find it hard to pay taxes to a city council that does not listen to its own constituents.

I absolutely do not support cluster housing! It takes me over 30 minutes to get to 400 in the morning due to the traffic. I did not move to Johns creek for just the reason. Now I am seeing signs of Milton going in the same direction.

The reason we moved to Milton, is being destroyed . The amount of houses being built have stressed our roads. Then you add cluster housing it will be worse.
Also, our schools are becoming over crowded. The crime rate will increase, just like it has in cumming. So where is the money, going to come from to improve roads, increase the police and fire dept and build another school?

Regarding the subdivision in the photo above, the tract in question was actually zoned AG-1 in Cherokee County. The City of Woodstock annexed the property. Woodstock then rezoned the property and extended sewer. This combination of sewer extension and rezoning is what is happening in Milton and what the Milton Coalition is fighting. The developer used Woodstock's conservation subdivision ordinance to get density. If you go back and read the transcripts of public meetings, they are eerily reminiscent of debates in Milton about conservation subdivisions. 38% of the tract's acreage is claimed as green space. However, most of it is unbuildable, so would have remained undeveloped in any case. This is the typical sleight of hand that developers use when seeking "conservation" rezoning. The minimum setbacks of the Woodstock "conservation" subdivision are similar to the conditions agreed to for 745 Ebenezer Road. No "conservation" subdivision is going to exactly mirror the next. However, the Woodstock "conservation" subdivision has many parallels to 745 Ebenezer.

We are going to leave up TRUTH WILL COME OUT comment for awhile. It is clearly an act of desperation from a person and group that has run out of ideas. They believe their only option now is vandalism of a website. The below e-mail highlights why Milton governance needs change. For too long, a tiny minority of shrill voices has dominated the discussion of land use and exercised outsized influence in our government. These folks have one idea and it is "conservation" cluster housing. And they are so hellbent on implementing this idea that they have essentially become a developer's marketing arm. Conversely, the Milton Coalition has refused to meet with 2 separate builders outside of the public process. We want to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. The Milton Coalition believes there are many good ideas for land conservation that the community can unite behind. We actually recently submitted ideas for a tougher tree ordinance. And the City, after much dawdling, finally has a good set of AG-1 enhancements for consideration. The shrill voices in Milton have not contributed to AG-1 enhancements because AG-1 is their whipping boy. They do not want to improve it because improvement would dilute their arguments.
