My dog passed away aged 18 last year. We got him as a pup when I was three. He was the best friend I ever had. I hope you get to experience the companionship of a canine best friend too, there's nothing like it.

Good luck! Be sure to do lots of research on breeds before deciding, I'm sure you already planned on doing that though. My cat has been awesome for my depression and anxiety so I'm a believer in getting emotional support animals. You are awesome! Just remember that
