The current DOTD plans for I-10 will shut down Baton Rouge, halting commerce, emergency response & possible hurricane evacuation for YEARS. Stop the madness!

The current LADOTD plan is wrong-headed, unnecessarily expensive, and will destroy the Baton Rouge area economy, as well as posing a significant barrier to emergency health services for those of us who live in West Baton Rouge. The current LADOTD I-10 Widening Plan needs to be immediately scrapped and LADOTD needs to start over with a realistic and workable plan.

DOTD is purposefully misleading the public about their plans. We must stop them and encourage consideration of the other options presented.

Against leaving only 1 lane being left open in each direction. This will be horrific for traffic coming through Baton Rouge. Need to rethink this.

I would like for DOTD to go with mr. Coleman Browns suggestions for the widening of the roads that need to be done to save years of a nightmare for Baton Rouge and the people who drive through there and the safety of people that use that road fir emergency to get through to hospitals and evacuation routes , the plane of DOTD is reduculous ,

Nothing has been done to make sure the neighborhoods near the construction have been secured Many of the streets in this area are narrow and have no sidewalks. Updates should have been done before the project starts. There has been ample time to make us safe. I am also very curious how LSU students are going to get to class not to mention how fans are going to get to and from the football games.

Accidents at this time with one lane blocked back up traffic past LA 415 on the interstate and 2 miles south on LA1 north bound. One lane for 12-14 months is unrealistic. And, there is no guarantee on that time span based on past experience with work.

After contacting LA DOTD I was unable to get an update for the time schedule, cost estimate and where all funding will come from for ALL I-10 construction. I was advised the schedule on the DOTD website is ONLY for the first segment. The only documentation I have been able to find indicated the total project will not end until 2038. I do not think DOTD is being clear about the schedule for ALL construction in Baton Rouge for the La 415 to Essen project. I predict that the current plan to make I-10 one lane in each direction at the bridge will cause a traffic nightmare.

They cannot be allowed to reduce I-10 traffic to one lane only either direction at any point at any time. They promised not to, and now they have reneged on their promise.

This is absolutely poor planning on DOTD to tear down I10 and leave one lane open both ways! Are you trying to kill commerce in Baton Rouge? I can only imagine the breakdowns, wrecks that will occur because of poor planning and going back on your plan to keep open 3 lanes , then 2 and now 1 both East and westbound. I firmly object to this current plan.
